Am I a true foodie? I had never been to Herbies so here we are. Located in the heart of Clayton, a timeless spot with sophisticated decor and an amazing patio. Herbies is a gigantic restaurant with many private dining rooms so business meetings can be done here in a snap. The menu at Herbie's offers tons of options. The southwest corn dip is an absolute must. It was my favorite. The fries were freshly crispy and thin cut. Then, I had to do the Niçoise salad. #stlouispescatarianapproved it was really good. It had a lemon vinaigrette so it was more citrusy than I'm used to but I loved it. The service at Herbie's is exceptional. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. I will be back.

We went after the Clayton wine and food festival and sat on the charming patio to hear the festival band still playing. Our waitress Bianca was terrific. We started with street Corn Dip which was addictive, I couldn't quit snacking on this! Had a great kick to it. Also had the Cajun crab cakes, which were equally tasty and a nice amount of crab and salad. The morel pasta was naturally amazing, though out of season the morels came from Oregon. I was amazed at the volume of mushrooms We also had the lobster and crab ravioli. The pasta is so fresh and the favors were delicious. I'm so glad they've continued with some of their Balaban traditions. It was a perfect evening and wonderful meal.

The best patio dinner time with my friends! The server was attentive and took really good care of us! Everything we ate and drank was pretty much solid! I got their Pina Colada drink. It was not too sweet, and you can taste the alcohol, but not heavily strong. Just exactly how I like it! We ordered the Truffle Fries, Brussel Sprouts, and their corn dip for our appetizers, and they were so delicious! I am lactose intolerant, so I didn't eat the corn dip as much, but my friends loved it. For our meal, we ordered a steak dish, the salmon, and their burgers. Everything was cooked perfectly. Must get the Balaban BBQ Salmon! That was my absolute! I'm not a huge dessert person, but their bread pudding was heavenly and the best way to end our dinner! Need to come back for Happy Hour! Recommended! Parking may be inconvenient, but you will

I prefer Herbie's for brunch. Just seemed like the pricing was more reasonable. Not sure I'd come back for dinner. But both the Happy Hour and Brunch are great!
